The Holidays are upon us. Why am I writing about it? Don’t we get enough hype about the Holidays every time we turn on the TV or enter a store? I believe we do. But I am writing about the holidays for a different reason.
Believe it or not, there are people who want to purchase homes regardless of whether it’s Holiday time or not. Perhaps they are getting transferred, or for tax reasons they need to buy a new home or investment property before the end of they year. Maybe they are just in town for short time visiting family and they fall in love with the area and are ready to buy right now!
If you are not someone who will be hosting a multitude of holiday gatherings in your lovely home, and you were thinking about selling your home, now is a great time to do it. Most people tend to take their homes off the market, or at the very least, put a hold, do not show this home notice on the property between Thanksgiving and Christmas. It’s that old rule of supply and demand, if yours is one of the only homes that is available, then it stands a good chance of selling as long as it’s priced right.
Now that the elections are over, people who were holding off for whatever reason, on purchasing or selling a home, have decided to jump into the market. Inventory is still low, but there’s more of it than there was a month ago.
Happy Holidays Everyone…
