Drones? As a tool for Real Estate? Yes.
If you have ever seen a virtual tour where the Realtor has used a drone to take a 360 tour of a gorgeous property you will understand why some realtors with high end listings are now using them in their virtual tours. Drones are also a great tool for property inspectors and realtors who would rather not have to get on top of a very high roof in order to make certain there are not problems with it.
While it’s well known that drones can be a disruption, we also know they can go where we can’t when it comes to certain types of properties.
Here in Florida the drones have been slow to catch on as a listing tool, mainly because our homes are more accessible than some of the older, and larger homes in other areas of the country. In our area most of the homes don’t have the height or the topography which would make using a drone more practical.
I can see them being used more as not only a listing tool, but also as an inspection tool. If we look it drones from the real estate prospective a bit more they really do make a great tool for those in the property inspection business. We were lucky this year that hurricane Matthew didn’t do much damage in our area, but if it had, then perhaps drones could have been a helpful tool for rescuers.
I am not certain that I would ever need or want a drone but I just found it interesting that so many people in different areas of the country are starting to enlist their aid. Besides Amazon, that is!!
